The 2012 New England International Auto Show

The 2012 New England International Auto Show is coming to Boston.  It is the biggest auto show in New England.  I have taken the family to several of these shows over the years.  They have giveaways and contests and it is always a lot of fun.

ne_autoshowI usually spend a couple hours there with the family checking out the trucks then my wife likes to look at the sissy electric and hybrid cars.  It's fun to take pictures of the kids siting behind the wheel of a big ol' Caddy or a souped up Corvette.  I've taken some good ones over the years.

It's a low-pressure place to sit in a Dodge Charger to see if it is big enough for you without getting the third degree from "Jimmy V," that car salesman I always get at the dealership who asks what he can do to "get me into this car today."

I am not really "a car guy."  I don't know a HEMI from a hacky sack.  But you don't nelamborghini_aventadored to be Ricky Bobby to get excited about the new Lamborghini Aventador (pictured in red).

The show is at the Boston Convention and Exhibition Center, 415 Summer St., in the Seaport District.  Tickets are $12 for adults and $6 for kids ages 6-12.  Kids under 6 are free.

The hours are:

Thursday, January 12, 2012  noon - 9:00 p.m.
Friday, January 13, 2012  noon - 9:00 p.m.
Saturday, January 14, 2012  10:00 a.m. - 9:00 p.m.
